Affordable at Home Teeth Whitening with Smile Brilliant & Giveaway

Hello loves,

Let’s talk about teeth whitening! For the past couple of years I have been taking the lazy way out when it comes to whitening my teeth. I have been really into using iPhone apps to whiten them because… One: it’s free. Two: It was so much easier than researching a safe kit for at home use or going to the dentist to get them whitened. (I know… LAZY.)

But I was so excited when Smile Brilliant reached out to me to collaborate for this blog post!

Smile Brilliant is an at home teeth whitening kit that is professional quality as well as extremely affordable. They were kind enough to send a kit for me to try and review to let you know my honest opinions about their product.

The kit I received costs $139 and comes with:

-3 catalyst pastes

-3 base pastes

-4 teeth whitening gel syringes

-4 teeth desensitizing gel syringes

-2 trays

-Easy to follow instructions for both the teeth whitening gel and the desensitizing gel

With this kit you get to make your own dental impressions using the two pastes. You use the pastes to mold your teeth, send that in the provided envelope, wait a couple of days and you get sent your own specialized teeth trays for whitening. (And don’t worry… there is an extra set of pastes just in case you mess up. 🙂 )

How I used this kit:

I used this kit everyday for two weeks and these are my results so far but I am still planning to continue using it to see how white I can get my teeth! (I will keep posting updates on my Instagram story.) I brushed my teeth with water before I applied the teeth whitening gel (orange syringe). It says to place a string of product all across the trays but I personally found it easier to place a small dot in each tooth imprint. Since I do have sensitive teeth, I started out leaving the product on for an hour and gradually increased it over the two weeks until I reached two hours. You can leave them on for up to three hours so if your teeth are less sensitive than mine, you could probably get much quicker results by increasing your time but for me I was all about taking my time because I am a baby when it comes to tooth sensitivity!

My teeth really weren’t that yellow to begin with but I definitely had some discoloration along my side teeth. I feel like they finally match my front teeth which I have been struggling with for quite a while!

One of my favorite things about this teeth whitening kit is the fact that it comes with a desensitizing gel. After you finish your teeth whitening, you brush your teeth like normal, completely clean and dry your trays and apply the desensitizing gel (white syringe). Depending on your sensitivity, you can leave on the desensitizing gel for as long as you need to help with that. I typically left the gel on for 20 minutes and never had any major problems with teeth sensitivity! Just make sure that you wait 30 minutes after the whole process is over before you eat anything.

I also would like throw out there that, for me, a syringe lasted about 8 days straight. So I feel like once you get your teeth to your desired whiteness, this kit will last a pretty decent amount of time!

Lastly, I would like to mention how amazing of an experience I had working with this company. They are so extremely helpful and informative with everything. Any worries or questions I had would be answered by the next day and they really cared about my personal experience with their product. Whether it be them sharing funny stories about their experiences using the whitening system or offering up information that I wouldn’t have thought of asking.
