What’s it worth | My Everyday Face Makeup

So this is something that I have always been curious about. I absolutely adore makeup and I definitely have my favorites. And in general, I know about how much my favorite products cost BUT it got me thinking… What is my basic everyday face makeup worth?

So I went through and researched every product I wear on an everyday basis, took a picture and found out the standard price.

Let’s see how much my face is worth!

First up, my base. I always wear sunscreen but I am leaving that out since it’s not actually “makeup” and is part of my morning skincare routine.

 

PRIMER

I use the Becca Backlight Priming Filter to start my makeup right. It gives you the most stunning glowing from within look. Not the best thing for oily skin if you’re trying to look extra matte – but I’m all about dewy skin.

BASE

On an everyday basis, I usually skip foundation and spot conceal with the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Fair.

SETTING POWDERS

To set my under eye concealer, I use the e.l.f. High Definition Powder in Sheer. It’s cheap and does it’s job.

Next up is my all time favorite powder: It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation in Fair. This is great when you’re going with foundation because it gives you a dewy finish with some extra coverage.

CONTOUR

Next up, nose contour. I use the e.l.f. cream contour palette. I was shocked because again, another cheap product that actually works! (I also use the e.l.f. translucent powder to set this.)

BLUSH | BRONZER | HIGHLIGHT

My absolute favorite palette at the moment is the NARS Angel Pride Cheek Palette. I use the bronzer, one of the four blushes and the highlight in the palette everyday. Usually I will also use the bronzer and highlighter around my eyes because I don’t do eyeshadow on an everyday basis.

BROWS

Brows – I have a couple different ways to do my brows. There are the instagram brows that are crazy defined and everything and then there are my “I’m trying to make it look my brows are completely natural.. No makeup here” look. For a typical workday, I go with those. I use the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Taupe to simulate brow hairs and the Clear Anastasia Brow Gel to set everything in place.

MASCARA

I don’t do mascara everyday because let’s face it. I’m staring at a computer screen for eight hours and I’m probably going to rub my eyes. BUT when I do wear mascara I’ve been using the Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara.

LIPSTICK

This is a recent purchase but quickly made it to my everyday routine. The Charlotte Tilbury The Pillow Talk Lip Kit. (I love this so much – there will be a whole separate post on it. – Coming soon :P)

SETTING SPRAY

Last but certainly not least, setting spray. The best part of my whole makeup routine. I use the Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer Setting Spray to set everything in place.

So if I’m doing my math correctly… my everyday face makeup is worth… DUN DUN DUNNN

$319!!

Now, obviously, I’m aware that you don’t use the whole product on your face but I do think it’s interesting to see how much money it would cost if for some reason I had to re-purchase my entire “everyday makeup routine”.
