Hello my beauties,
So I always see posts about beauty hacks. So often, that I feel like they are all already in my makeup hack reservoir. Therefore, I wanted to shake things up with some (hopefully) new hacks that I use!
Sponge Begone
Okay, so I absolutely love the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealers but I always feel like the product runs out way too fast. I read somewhere that you could pop the sponge right off the top and you could save so much of the product.
Of course, I didn’t think I was really wasting that much of it until I popped off one of my sponges that I had been using. OMG. There was SO much concealer just chilling in the sponge.
I haven’t used that little sponge applicator since.
Mini Spatula
So, I don’t know if you’ve heard of this one but it makes life so much easier! It’s essentially a little spatula that you can shove into your makeup products to get that last bit of makeup. It’s a life saver when you’re a purchase procrastinator that likes to wait until your last drop of makeup before purchasing a new one.
Shower Powder
Just go with me here. If you are out of dry shampoo or know you’re going to be sweating this is great. I pour a small amount of this into my hand and massage it into my hair when it has that “hasn’t been washed in a couple of days slept in” look.
At first, it might leave a slight white cast on your hair but if you keep massaging it fades away and leaves your hair looking not oily.
Dishwasher Flower Cleanse
Don’t waste your money on all of those expensive brush cleaners! This is a $10 dish scrubber that makes cleaning makeup brushes a dream. Read more about it on my blog here!
From Cake to Sheer
So this probably isn’t original at all but it’s something I use so I’m going to tell you anyway!
If you have a foundation that is too thick and cakey looking, mix in a tiny bit of moisturizer. Super simple, but it sheers out the foundation. Whoop!
That’s it for my 5 beauty hacks! I hope you found out something that can make your life just a little bit easier!
Speaking of making life easier (Clever segue? No? Not quite. Well, I tried.)
One of my really good friends, Izzy, is doing an amazing project with a team of UT students where they would design and build a water access project for a community in Guatemala.
I think that it’s so awesome that she is doing this and wanted to share it with everyone on here!

Thanks, guys!

Thanks! Yay! When you do, make sure to only twist it once because the product comes out quickly without that pesky sponge in the way! 😊😂

oh my goodness. I want to try that shower powder — I’m doing a Ragnar Relay in April and I think it’ll work better than just dry shampoo for 36 hours.

I’m always on the lookout for beauty hacks, and I’ll definitely be getting and using that little spatula. I don’t know how many times I’ve thrown out makeup because I couldn’t pick up makeup around the sides with a brush any more. ❤
