I’m going out to dinner with a couple of friends and decided to go all out because why not?
Let’s start with makeup!
I’m starting with my base makeup on and with my eyes primed just to make things easier.
Now, I’m going to start with applying a white eyeshadow (Kat Von D, Liberatus) pretty much all over my eyes. As usual, I have no idea what this eye look is going to look like until I’m done so this is always a good place to start.
At this point, I was thinking about doing a black smokey eye so I took a light orange shadow (Kat Von D, Ludwin) and blended this into my crease to act as a transition shade. I also added a tiny bit of a light brown (Kat Von D, Lazarus) to the bottom part of my crease to define it a little bit more.
Then I took a black, matte shadow (Kat Von D, Shax) and blended this into my crease. Always start with a small amount of black shadow at first. It’s a lot easier to add black than it is to take it away.
This is the point where I decided I wanted to add a red shade (Kat Von D, Succubus) into the mix. I took it and patted this all over my lid. Be sure to pat, not sweep. When you pat your eyeshadows on you get a better color payoff.
I gave myself a wing and took a brown eyeshadow (Kat Von D, Sytry) and blended that onto my lower lashline. Then added some mascara (It Cosmetics, Hello Lashes and Maybelline, Lash Sensational). No crazy fake lashes this time.
I wanted to have my lipstick match my eye makeup but I didn’t have the shade so I improvised. I applied a dark lipstick (Maybelline, Blissful Berry) like normal then tapped the red eyeshadow (Kat Von D, Succubus) on top of it. This is great if you want a matte lipstick look.
Also, if you don’t want to ruin your eyeshadow brush, start out with tapping the eyeshadow on using your finger. It’s a lot easier.
Now for the outfit:
